Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

This ethical statement applies to all titles published as part of Skolpex Academic Publishing's Ebook collection, including conference proceedings, edited volumes and monographs. It is based on the COPE guidelines for publishers of books and conference proceedings, and on the ethical standards followed by leading academic publishers such as Elsevier, Springer and UNC Press.

Ebook Collection in Fundamental and Applied Physics is committed to the highest ethical standards in book publishing, ensuring transparency, fairness and academic integrity in all editorial processes.

1. Responsibilities of authors and contributors
- Authors must ensure that all chapters, articles or monographs submitted are original, correctly cited and free from plagiarism.
- Simultaneous or redundant submissions to other books, journals or proceedings are prohibited.
- All contributors must have made a significant contribution to the work.
- Authors must declare any conflicts of interest - financial, academic or personal - that may affect the integrity of the work.
- All authors must comply with ethical standards for research involving human or animal subjects, and ensure that appropriate authorizations and consent have been obtained.
- In the case of compilation volumes, publishers must ensure that all contributors adhere to the same ethical standards.

2. Responsibilities of editors (volume or conference editors)
- Editors must evaluate all submitted manuscripts based solely on academic merit, without discrimination.
- Editors are required to maintain confidentiality during the review and selection process.
- Editors must ensure that all accepted chapters or articles undergo appropriate peer review or editorial selection.
- Editors must declare any conflicts of interest and avoid processing submissions where such conflicts exist.
- Editors must take appropriate action in the event of a breach of ethics, including publishing corrections or withdrawing contributions.

3. Responsibilities of reviewers
- Reviewers (if any) must evaluate submissions impartially and constructively.
- They must treat all submissions as confidential.
- They must inform the editor of any potential conflicts of interest or ethical issues, and recuse themselves if necessary.

4. Responsibilities of the publisher (Skolpex Academic Publishing)
- Skolpex Academic Publishing ensures that all titles are produced to high editorial and ethical standards.
- In the event of scientific misconduct, plagiarism or unethical behavior, the publisher reserves the right to reject, retract or correct published material.
- Skolpex Academic Publishing supports volume publishers and authors in maintaining the integrity of scientific documents.
- Skolpex Academic Publishing ensures the long-term archiving and availability of all published content.

5. Misconduct and retraction policy
- Allegations of ethical misconduct will be investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines.
- Where errors or mistakes are identified after publication, Skolpex Academic Publishing may publish a correction, retraction or expression of concern, as appropriate.
- Notices of retraction will include the reasons for the retraction and will be clearly linked to the original content.
